Another great "Disobbedisco!" review @ APOSTAZJA (Original Polish version)!
Heres the English translation:
"Here we have another musical pearl from the sunny and decadent Italy. Ladies and gentlemen: IANVA. One cannot call this group neo-folk, nor industrial, nor by any other name originating from the “dark” scene. Even though the Italians’ music contains many elements originating from broadly defined dark folk it is… pop. Simply pop. Just imagine a bit more melancholy, emotional and nostalgic pop with a dash of rock. This is simply IANVA. I do not associate their music with uniforms, runes, marches and similar ideas known to you. You might ask: what do you associate it with then? Only with the San Remo festival (to those who do not know, it is similar to Polish Sopot or Opole festivals.) Is it tacky? Not at all. This ambience has a lot of power to it and something that makes your heart beat faster. The musicians sing and play beautifully, the songs touch your heart and everything is all right. Not without reason, the band names among their masters native stars of film music and world format mainstream stars (form San Remo). I am 100% percent convinced that the songs from “Disobbedisco” could be liked by our parents and I encourage you to present the band to them. One should envy the people of the country of spaghetti, pizza, parmesan and other delicacies. Not only does each band play excellently, in addition each of them has a unique nature. Also the cut titled “Tango della Menade” is a real masterpiece and the essence of what a tango should be. Mega sensuality and nostalgia. Hereby I place IANVA among my undying favorites..." Our biggest thnx to Tomasz & all Apostazja Zine Staff! And thnx to Aleksandra, Igor & Tanya for their kind help with the English translation!
